KAYAKING THE JAMES
Spend a few hours or the whole day paddling and exploring the calm waters of the James River, catch some rays, and discover the natural beauty of our local waterway. Reference our self-guided tour map for kayaking hotspots nearby. This is a great activity that is safe for the whole family!

Things to Bring
- Sunscreen
- Water bottle
- Sunglasses (cheap ones)
- A towel for after the kayak paddle
- Do NOT bring anything on the kayak that you do not want to get wet, sandy, damaged, or lost
Single Person Kayak Rental:
One hour $20
Two hour $35
Half Day (4 Hours) $55
Group Rate: 4+ kayaks together and receive 10% discount
April 1st – October 30th
Monday – Saturday: 9:30am – 4:30pm (all kayaks back on dock)
Membership
Kayak anytime with a membership for $110, good for 8 one-hour single kayak rentals. You may redeem multiple credits at one time by booking consecutive 1-hour rentals. A membership can only be used by the individual it is registered to and cannot be transferred. Membership is valid through the end of the season (April 1- October 31)
